That texture is choice. Painter? Very awesome. Only things that seem wonky are Spidey's face and the monster dude's head seems just a liiiiittle too flat. A kick of light along his profile would have popped him prettily, I think. Oh, and Spidey's left knee/leg ends up looking like a giant wang in costume Which can be very cool depending on your audience.

I like it; very nice. The bend in the Achilles tendon looks wrong to me, though, and the ankle placement looks a bit off. The hinge in the foot is deeper inside the foot, and the outside ankle is the bottom end of the fibula, which runs in a fairly straight line up the leg toward the knee

i believe the anatomy of the great Spidey is supposed to be like that in this picture. A little bit out of the ordinary Spider Man. It makes it more interesting if you ask me. I like it alot.

thanks for all the comments and crits, they were very helpful. I went back and tried to address a lot of those issues, and tweak other things that were starting to bother me.

GlassShard - this was done in Photoshop. Thanks for the suggestions - Spidey is now de-wanged. I hadn't seen that til you mentioned it, and then it was *all* I could see.

May - I was trying to convey the idea that the woman is a ghostly/supernatural figure. She was killed in the story, so this image is meant to show her spirit.

I didn't read the comics, and have never heard of Gwen. Oh well. You learn something new every day. Nice work.

ooooh, me likey the new version. Bg has much more depth, and Spidey's face and giant wang (!) are looking better. I thought the face must have been a stylistic choice though I've never read the comics so I have no idea about the whole deal with the girl... anyway, great picture as always.

Wow- Great Image. I like all of the improvements (including the face). As a spidey fan though I think you got the angle of the eyes right the first time. Usually the top of the eye angles in at about 45 degrees. This is nitpicking though. My Best +7

Very nice piece! I love it. Although Spidey suffers from a little bullimia Colors, light and strokes are fantastic. IMHO, on the first version, Spidey's head was better.

As everybody said his face is not OK.Other than that I liked the colors of his costume..But the body in the full version is better..His belly looks a little bit strange uhhm thin in this pic..Anyway light is great...Good job

I like the face better in the first one too. And why the hell is Gwen not in the movies? Hope they put her in the next films, although that'll change the storyline altogether...oh, well. Nice work!

Spidey's body is a bit overstyled, but I don't think that's a problem and it's probably a conscious choice. Great painting style! +9
