Wow!!! Incredible!!! I never imagined you could make pictures like this with a view camera.

Flower within a flower, made the camera...only one problem I see - if your birthday is listed as 1970 and the photo as 1975 you were 5 yrs old when you photographed this? Which is the boo boo? OR am I just confused again?

Awesome photo!

Noooo!!! Iam 60 years old...isn“t that awful !!! I am begining to fade away....My son (Eremita) started all this and he forgot to input my birthday....We tried to correct it a few days ago but for some reason it did not saved my birthday wichs is March 25 1944.....and MartinSussex I admire a great deal your landscape work . I think one of them is perfect. Landscapes are for me the most dificult subject. ....Gush...I envy you...and Contessa I love your shells and your perls...I was begining to think to make a shot of shells because my wife colects them...but now I have a very dificult quality to match.
Yes I made the camera...I was at the time in USA training in Pediatrics ....did not have enough money...I was moving up from 35 mm to 2 1/4 format....and was impressed by the improvement...so I decided to build my 4 by 5 Inches view camera....it was made out of aluminum...the hard part was to fold the bellows---of course I had to buy the lens...a 150mm wich is the "normal" lens for that format...these are the cameras that you have to use a trypod allways...and to cover your head with a black sheet in order to see the image...the plane of the negative can be tilted to improve depth of field and to correct the convergence of the buildings... the negative size gives you a amazing detail....we scan our old pictures and I am afraid some quality is lost....Truly enjoying the place and all the people like you who love beauty.

i took a look to a lot of your artwork. there s a kind of sweetness in everything, as if you watch it carefully, growing and blooming...
some of your subject are quite violent and still there s softness inside
and that's really great!!! :)
