I'm not sure what I should say about this... it was a pretty personal picture, but by the 10th hour that I've worked on this whatever profound meaning I had in mind all went out the window (however, I do hate crying in public).

Did this in PS7 and Painter 8. Took close to 30 hours. The one in my avatar is a WIP version

As far as technique goes, I was going for more of the style that other Asian artists employ with their fantasy/character art; more focus on colour, lots of anal retentive details in the costume, atmospheric background etc. Hope you like.

Few darker shades of hair are all I see to be added.This is a beautiful pic Peachy.The colors are great,the softness of the clouds,the design on her dress...their all great.

This has got to be my favorite artwork on this entire site! I absolutely love it. There is so much in this image I love. Starting with her expression (she reminds me of my wife) and the beautiful colors. Have you printed this yet? I would love to see this in print.

But I've seen a lot of others and there's a distinctive Asian style, although everyone has a different approach to it.
Haha, I remember someone accusing noah of copying that guy. Noah still rocks either way. In my own description of At First Sight I mentioned Vovo's style but some guy just said she rips off Chen Shu Fen and Common... a bit *too* harsh imo

Which is why I don't cite any particular artist for my influences this time. man, that was off-topic!
