Description

Well, of course it is no old seaman, it's my father. :) I took this portrait more accidently (playing around with my camera) than on purpose but it came out that good that I could not "not" finish & publish it :)
I will do more portrait photography in the next time :)

Great portrait, I love the lighting and the intimacy of the piece. I have always been favorable to environmental portraits, they capture so much more life and energy than those done in studio.
Great job, I am sure your father is proud of this photo.

Did you touch this up in PS? Just wondering if the outline on the tip of nose is an artifact of bluring the backgound or was it in the origional photo? Also the blur on the beard dosn't look right to me, shouldn't the right eyebrow blur too if the beard is bluring?

Love it though.

I did some overall sharpening with my secret little techniques ( ;) ) but no selective sharpening/blurring. thanks for the comment :)
