Thats beautiful, I like the black background, brings out the colour of the leaves. And I also like the position of them. Good job. The shadows on the leaves look nice.

Carlos, you know I usually crit more but on this, there is just one word: perfect. Well, there are other words as "stunning" as well - I'll have to overhink that ;)

Love how you use the dark background to make your subjects 'pop'. Very nice shot overall! Max for you.

Curious what you used for the background? Great lighting and exposure, lovely colours as always!!!! If I could remember that saying about simplicity and mastery I would type it right here....

Superb work Carlos!!

Hey Peter... exitium2000....I use sometimes a board painted black mate (Dull)....or a piece of black clothing ( choose one with small porus)...I guess you may try also a dark black paper (non reflecting)....Needless to say that sometimes you have to "heal" some spots to make the background even...Most of the time I use natural soft light by a window....but this one I took it in my clinic beside a Fluorescent light on the ceiling....Tripod...Speed 1/4 sec..I use full manual F8...and change speed until the higlights are not washed...I did it there because I found the leaves on the parking lot...and I couldn't wait to get home....I guess people thought I was crazy picking up little leaves from the floor!....Thanks for your comment....Glad to share with you little tricks....I use F8 because is the smallest aperture in my camera...I wish I could use F22...like with my old Canon FTQL

I really like this composition. The colors are wonderful and the leaves really do look like they are dancing! Great idea.

Another winner, Carlos. The only very slight suggestion I would make would be to move the leaves just a little closer to the center. I agree with your decision to not center the shot (a dead center composition is usually weaker in a shot like this), but I find the vast emptiness to the left a little distracting.

Another beautiful portrait from you Carlos. This is stunning. I enjoy the texture and colors in the foreground. The lighting shows off highlights and shadows in a very subtle way. The black background brings these characteristics so elegantly to the foreground. My only crit ... and a minor one, is that the leaf stems are a little out of focus. Wonderful and creative work.
