Description

Taken already a while ago, I was never really sure whether I should post this. It's a bit abstract for me but I like it nonetheless - comments and especially crits are always welcome.

And yeah... sorry for the grain - it was taken in the night so I had to use a high ISO.

I like it Lenz....Glad to be the first one...Very nice mood...the grain doen't bother me because it goes with the mood of the picture...Simple and effective...relaxing...I like semiabstract pictures...so I am enjoying this one...The "tall" composition works very well...and even if the picture has very few elements...the "Phryneas" touch is there...Good work Lenz!

nice shot. just one crit. too much noise i think. or is it effects?

Avatar Phryneas

 02/08/05 @634

tetbautista No, you're right - it is high noise due to a high ISO - I could have removed it but I decided to keep it "as is" as noise reduction often destroys the "feeling" of a photo.

I love a sense of emptiness and space if it works well with whatever mood you're trying to capture. . . and you've certainly succeeded. I love the space, abstract feeling, and grain effect - even if you didn't mean it to be so, it works. ;) Great great shot, +9 (thumbup)

oh those high ISO settings on our D70..such a double edged sword..

anyways...I always have a draw towards nice negative space in photos...always have such a great zen, monastic feel to them...

I really like the composition/crop of this piece. Those heavy object at the bottom weigh down the composition so much it needed all that air at the top. I like the grain, gives it a documentary feel to it. But there seems to be a bit of camera shake. Were you cold?

Avatar Phryneas

 02/09/05 @801

Samson, you got me! And you're right, it was damn cold up there - intentionally I went up there to get a sunset panorama but as it was foggy I tried myself at abstract architecture ;)

Good Mood,
Very artistic, on my opinion the only thing that i improove there is the contrast, only to get more Defined Darkest Colos, Easy to Do on PS.

WellDone
