Description
Lady Gaia, the soul of our planet, is a character that I like to play with in my art as well as imagination. There really is so much potential to her, because she is almost all that our lives are based upon. This painting is an attempt to explore the ideas of interconnectivity, natural cycles, slowly merging into infinity.Tools: Corel Painter 8, Trust tablet.
Time taken: around 2 weeks or so.
Size: 5400x3900.
*Please* check out the detail shots - there's SO much lost in resizing that you're missing half the painting without checking the close-ups. The sad part is that the starfield mostly gets lost upon resizing, and I've no idea how to help that.
Update (17.10.05): prints and other goods with this design now available over here. Excitement! ^^

About some little mistakes - to my mind her chest looks a little bit flat... but that is only my opinion. One of the arms is a little bit longer.
Everything else is gorgeous.

I just wish it wasn't that monochromatic and I am not a big fan of the mirroed face. However those facts don't take from the painting at all.
Another wonderfully painted work from you

The detailing is SUPERB. You don't need me to tell you that. Great work with the fur, the butterflies, and all those little details. It's great. But be sure not to forget the bigger things. I think the...........nebulae (whatever you wish to call those cloudy masses under her elbows)
These are minor points, however. You've done a lovely job on this- great colours, concept and detail. Keep up the beautiful work! ^_^

The amount inferred and the style is simply astonishing. Really makes her look like mother nature herself. I wish I had more than +5 to offer.

I can't really put it in words, breathtaking..
The way you represent the elements great, love the clouds as her chest and the lightning striking from there.
Only thing, I can't see any earth, I can see wind, water, fire. But not earth.
