tv lines don't do it justice at such a small res. but the composition looks nice

good but horizontal grain is too much and kills the focus on the mask

noth1ng - what's that supposed to mean?

I think maybe noth1ing believes this is an unremarkable image, there are hundreds very much like it like it on sites like deviantart... using cliched dark stuff like the gasmask, skull, pipes and the colour tint... sorry man but that isn't particularly original at all.
I'm not saying this is a bad image but it's not really the kind of quality I'm used to seeing in the elite gallery, or your gallery too for that matter.

Fififi - I just reacted on the vague comment. It seemed a bit offending since he didn't elaborate at all... I agree that it's not all that original and I apprechiate your comment!

It's something I started on about two years ago, and I wanted to finish it... When it comes to the whole original thing, I think it's almost impossible to make something original. Everyting you make contains pieces that you've seen elsewhere. And even if you make things you haven't really seen elsewhere you can be almost 100% sure that it's been done before.

I guess this is a learning process for me. I'm still studying, and I'm still exploring different techniques. I think always trying to be original can be quite crippling while studying. Instead I like to make whatever I want then and there, and see how it develops

I like the whole war effect it creates.Like someting you'd get with an hidden infrared camera. Like the jittery tv screen thing going on to!

Good design and colors, Thomas! The skull is a nice touch. Maybe the scanlines are a bit to visible/harsh to appreciate the design.

I do like the idea of combining a horsescull with a gasmask. With the scanlines, this would look good as the titlescreen of a VDOGame, or a cover illustration.
DOn't think it comes off as hacky. It's a bit of a moodpice isn't it? 1984 with agent orange.

The tubes look a bit like painted, like the don't belong to the image
but beside this its great. everything. the composition, the coloring and I really like those scan-lines, they give the whole image such a nice grungy, yet clean and modern effect. +9 and its a favourite
