I have an idea who she is but I can't describe it with words yet.
The choosen colors are a small hint.
Yes, the hair looks weird, but I never claimed I do realism

I like it that way and it works with my idea of the character.

Reference used for hands. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to take pictures with your digicam of your own gloved hands? Maybe I should drink less coffee XD

good work on the background, nice details on her hair, strong features on her face, good rendering on her dress, fan, wine glass! just the proportion of the body esp her front its a bit tilted. otherwise, good job! +9

This is going to sound shallow, but this is excellent in every way except for her face, and not because it's not rendered well... she's just not that attractive (ulp!!!) just looks a bit odd IMO.

I love the delicate details and not sure what bothers you about the hair because I think it's great - just not sure why it looks "wind blown" while nothing else in the painting seems to be affected.

Yes, Madanapale, you are right about the name. ^^

It's funny how diverse reactions her face causes. Some think she is sexy, some other think she's unattractive.
Some of the oddness is, because her facial proportions are a bit of and it's far from realism. But I'm happy with it anyway ^^.

I have to agree with DD about the hair...it was rendered VERY well...in fact, all of the detailing is fantastic, but if it is say...blown by the wind, then the rest of the costume should reflect that wind as well.

The bridge of the nose is too long, and her eyes are too high up. The hair doesn't make any sense, unless it was all for the wanting to do details. Her neck seems a bit wide for her shoulders and head. That's really all I have to say for critique.
The details of everything else look lovely.

@ashy: The hair makes no sense 'on purpose' (also, it's not 'wind blown' - but there 'is' something in the air that makes it look that way). But uh... hard to describe. She just isn't what people might think she is - and the hair is one of the more obvious hints.
