I really wish you people would stop to think aloud ^^! when ppl not help or give suport to artist i think they plow a better work if they don't add comments.

What you should do is to use many reference images. Figure out what the person really looks like, identify the face characteristics - if you have to draw that exact celeb (which doesn't make much sense unless it's a commission). When you understand the particular head characteristics, you can draw that head in any pose you want. No need to copy anything.
If you don't have to draw a celeb, don't do it! Draw something more imaginative, you see faces of celebs everywhere anyways.

Referencing is an important learning element in most artwork and shouldn't be dismissed in any way as cheating. Occasionally, even direct tracing can have it's uses. But essentially, referencing is a good way to check and observe details that you've never really noticed before and need to understand a little more (mostly a LOT more in my case, heheh!)
I think the textures, depth and pencil-work in this piece of work are very, very good. +10

Parts of this are so far and above the bad photo used I just have to smile at some of the above comments.
Guess it's not enough to gripe about not linking to the photo reference because even if you do, they'll find something else to gripe about!

this pose resalt very much her fair hair.
great deal with it indeed.

PD:
To Arenhaus (my best friend) LOL.
Rough people look the stick on the oposite eyes but doesnt look the trunk that has is his own eyes.
Keep working Medrano.
Personal I think the only way to create is after copy n' study about nature.
About several repherens I will post an artwork done by several photos.
Saludos.

As for Arenhaus - ignore him. I've yet to see him say anything nice to anyone. That's not to say he hasn't - I just haven't seen it if there is such a thing.
< Sarcasm> Oh, I forget - Arenahus is god on gfx...he makes the rules. He's the absolute end all authority on art. < /Sarcasm>

I wouldn't listen to anyone on this site about referencing, great artists throughout history have used photos for reference, not everyone has such a great memory for detail and reproduction meathods were invented by ancient masters for a reason.
some people just don't appreciate technicall skill and realism, they would rather see a fairy.
