This is a painting I started last october, and I let it down on december.... I didn't touch it for months. I finally finished it these days but quite quickly, because I didn't want to spend too much time on it... (I want to paint something else).

So it's not -really- finished...

I began to write a story about this girl, but I let it down too.
It was about a girl walking in forbidden woods, she picked up a flower and was immedialty sentenced to death.
As the flower looses its petals, she's dying.
I played with colors (green and red) but I think it would have been better if I had the courage to end it well...

Anyway, here it is.
about 40 hours (hard to say....)

its nice but the colors need to be modified in the valley with the stream so that its pushed back into the distance giving a more better feeling of spacial perspective.right now it looks like to me the valley and red river are right next to the ledge she's laying on.

It is impressive how you can stick with one work. I remember many unfinished pieces on my harddrive *blush* I think I'm not that good organized like you.

Malgré l'ambiance générale assez sombre , le contraste entre le rouge et le vert amène une grande variété de nuances et une bonne dynamique de l'image. Très belle pose, une seule petite critique : la main gauche est un peu petite, ou le poignet est trop large. En tout cas, très beau travail

Translation : Excellent

Even if the general tones are quite dark, the contrast between red and green add a lot of subtle tones and a good dynamic in this picture. Very nice pose, my only crit is the left hand : it seems a bit small, or the wrist is too large. Anyways, really good work

I especially like the landscape texture. It has a great gloomy atmosphere, but IMO it needs more space (it looks a little flat). But anyway I thing it's really really good
