Hi there! Hmmm... yeah, I guess the eye is a bit high. Believe or not, It was higher before I guess I missed some proportion with playing with his expression, because the real model has a quiet-serious expression, and I wanted a "I-hate-you-and-your-dog-and-your-family-and-the-whole-world" serious expression. Dunno If I achieved that. Tell me, did I? About the almost tatoo on his check... well... I just drew it. No thing planned. The role playing game will be set on a forum, throught posting. Nothing to do with videogames or such stuff. Thanks to all 4 comment!! I really appreciate it.

WHY is this getting so much praise for the perspective????????????????? The reference photo and the painting are almost a one to one match. click the thumbnail for a larger view (photo at 50% opacity over painting.) Now I will not debate...this is an EXCELLENT use of color as it was applied with someone with a firm grasp of both the color theory and the software used. But I can't compliment a pose or sense of anatomy that took minimal effort to emulate. I'm NOT calling this a paintover...clearly you moved the eye, changed the expression, gave a tattoo etc. But even the belt/wrinkles in the pants took no original thought other than how to paint what was already there. on the colors and brushwork on modifying this to be a true orginal work...I know you can do better, I've seen it. +6/10 I'm not going to comment why this is #1....the masses have spoken. I'm just a small fish in a big pond.

I m gonna agree with Brett there, because the images are almost identical, though the colouring and rendering is very good, and the skill you have shown with the use of colours on the body is fab. Maybe try out your won figures, as your colouring skills are good.

LOL i'm not a fan of nell... but i not agree with wysiwyg this time. Why? well i have a "theory" My theory say... "iguality" and i talk about refs. check Childhood by  Diane or Milla Jovovich by  Grafiker if they can, nell are able and all gfxartists... eeeeh you know. About artwork, proportions/structure in face are a little off i think, but pretty hair.

never said rules were broken....Bellas (READ: Did not) agree with me. It was stockart...no crime in that, that's what it's used for. Bellas has a problem with those who copy photos and post here. He's been giving Diane alot of crap for that wolf piece (which was determined ok by the admins btw) i was just baffled about how much praise the perspective was given, when pretty much all of the anatomical reference was right there.

Hi there! Lets see... - About textures over skin suggested by Zo-... I didnt ever mind of that. I'll try it next time. - About the perspective... well Brett, I'm not good enough to draw human figure without looking refs yet. I'm still learning, and this is my way of doing it. When I think I'm able to draw something by myself, I draw it. That's the case on the hair here. Someday it will be the whole thing, but I need training before that. I can do stuff from nothing beyond my own mind, You've already seen that, but you'll indeed agree with me about the fact they are "too much below" than my refferenced ones. Don't worry! I'm not losing the path - Maundevar: as long as I know, beyond Bellas, you and me, here are Bea, angel_alita, DJ_RO, Ivanuss & Juan. I guess there're more, but at the moment I only remember them. - Thanks to all 4 the support & the critics. I appreciate it.

Nice take on the photo. You added a wee touch of muscle defenition to the chest and abdomen, made the face and hair your own fantasy work. Great concept and skintones ~ I like the rebel look in his eye.
