Description
A highlighter from the book The Jesus Incident By Frank Herbert, which is a great book focusing on the concept of god and worship among other things.Highlighters float through the sky above the ocean world of Pandora and are born from the kelp that covers the ocean floor. The sack at the top is filled with hydrogen and keeps them up while the longest two tentacles hold a rock for ballast.
Full version looks better.
Acrylic on canvas a few hours. I painted the background first and then desided a highlighter would look nice on it. Acrylic is anooying because it drys so fast, on the flong tentacles the orange would be dry before I was halfway through adding the white so I had to keep going back over with orange every few inches.
