Description
This is a painting that I've been working for quite a while and finished it weeks ago. I took some liberty with this one, so not everything might seem right, but this is the result I wanted...For this one I looked at a lot of Googled pictures of clouds and such, then i started this with those knowledge in mind. Several body parts are referenced after myself, with some alteration, cause i'm a guy and all that.
Btw, those are my first geese and the head one is my first ever!! LOL. Used some refs for those.

1 - Too much space for the cloud... You made some nice clouds there, but they're dragging our attention away from your subject. I'd say you could consider cropping a bit at the bottom and on the left to give more weight to the main subject.
2 - The way I see it, she's walking on the clouds. But clouds aren't that thick. Should'nt she be walking "in" the cloud instead than on the top of it. Making her feet slowly disappear in the cloud would give better result.
That's it. Let me know if this was any useful to you.

Thanks Tal!!
ramy: Thanks for that!! I guess they can be softer, i'll keep that in mind! thanks much!!
eowyn: haha, thanks very much!! and yeah, i've noticed that too.
Thanks Panda89!!
Kemp: Thank you very much for noticing that, cause it's been a little dilema for me, and some people actually like the fact that it looks solid, like something you can walk on. I thought it could look softer, but then i was afraid of making it look like she's sinking. I'll see what I can do with that! As for the composition, it's pretty much the way I wanted, cause it supports the "story" of this painting. At the beginning, she was about half of her size right now, but you couldn't see her, so i had to enlarge her. If i was working bigger, i'd made her that size too, cause it's better for the concept.
Well, thanks very much for the crit!!
Thanks much deathsythe7!!

Love the idea and the painting, very nicely done. The ducks are a nice touch too.

Funk-Machine: Thanks!! Actuallly, i'm done clouds before, the geese are the first ones i've done. heh. I'm starting to think the sinking thing might be better, especially when you described it as sand. I'll do something with it!
Thanks SinisterUrge!! haha, i like to inspire!
haha, cool, thanks!! oh, and they're geese.
Thanks again people!!

I think that the background could have done without some of the stars, but its a beautiful painting!

Azurite: Man, I love your comment!! I need to hear more like it, cause it makes it all worthwhile!! Thank you very much!!
Medrano: lol, thanks!!
Malin: I know it's rather much, but that it's what i like to see when i look up at the sky. Living in the city, you really don't see much cause of all the lights and such. I guess this was something I wanted to do for myself. Thanks much!!
thanks again people!!

Though I would prefer it without the birds (geese?), they compete with the girl and pull in another direction (upwards).

Seriously, you've captured the mood, the dreams, the temperature, the melancholy. It's all there. THIS is what I've always longed for... to walk on the clouds.
*sigh* If you don't mind, I wanna use this as a background on my comp... and, I added you to my fav-list. Well done.

Scandiaca: The geese holds meaning in this painting, so that's why they're in there. I was a bit afraid that they would conflict with her, but right now, they seem to get the same amount of attention to me, if not less, something i'm pretty pleased with cause it really helps the concept. Thanks!!
SandraS: lol, of course you can, you just have to find the way cause i don't!! Thanks so much for the indept commen. I love hearing how people feel when they see my work.
