the wave is an ineresting moving background to the static figure,
but the tiger right is...half transparent?
It's more grey than dark, what about light/shadow?
the foreground is a bit flat so the background wave comes in front with its contrasts. Seems kinda syrrealistic ;o) Murakami, eh?-)

The transparency of the tiger comes from my way of using the bamboo-charcoal-inksticks without mixing ink, but preparing the stick before each stroke with help of these special Sumi-e-stones, another paper and very little water.
Having read all this descriptions of Sumi-e (e.g. 2nd link in the charcoal-thread) - for this time I decided against light/shadow, instead looking for contrast in the darkness (you're right with the flatness, I'll work on that) and surrealism of the scenery. .... Murakami
