Description
Here's something I thought might be fun to show. It's an anime styled character I created for a freelance project for my brothers new website that will be ready next month. The simplicity of this isn't normally my style, but was fun to do. I took this opportunity for a few reasons.
1) to try a more simpler technique that allowed me to learn more about few lines and few shades that represent the personality and form of the character without heavy detail.
2) I learned more about how to create a character from drawing to finish in Photoshop with tight line. Usually if it's PS, I'm a little messy.
3) The study of the female face, and logic about beauty. I usually draw women with creases under the eyes and around the cheeks in a way that makes them look wiser, but still young to me. But I decided here to create a more mainstream anime type beauty without the extra lines and facial creases to see the final effect.
This was a fun project.

chrispis - Thanks.
elf - Thankyou.
shyamshriram - Haha!
SailorDidi - Thanks a lot.
GULLUANIME - Hey thanks. I do know how to animate. I want to get back into that so bad, but I have to wait to get a big project out of the way first. It's a graphic novel I'm working on that won't be done with till December.
Juro - Hey thanks, I'm glad you think so. Thats what I'm most concerned about when creating characters. If they don't have life, I feel that I've failed. I'm glad this is working.
trevorm - Thanks Trev.
emagery - Thanks a lot emagery.
enigmatix - Hey, thanx. I was trying to look that witch up on Yahoo images but couldn't find it.
thienbao - Hey thanks thienbao! I'm glad you like this.
morpherD2TML - You're right that it's difficult to create a character that everyone likes. I've learned that is impossible to do because everyone has their own idea of what is good and what is not. Especially when dealing with female beauty. There's the countries ideal of beauty, sub cultures ideals, and the individual. Usually all groups don't agree, but thats what makes it all interesting.
joshc529 - Thanks.
kittyKat - Hahahah! thanks KittyKat.
TOLEDO - Thanks Toledo.
Klimyntris - Thankyou Klimyntris.
