Great piece of emotive work. I remember a story in a very old edition of 2000AD about the ABCarriors with a very large robot character called George who had seperate 'brains' in each of his limbs that tdid whatever they wanted. He looked just like this fella.

Wow. Love it! Excellent first post here--welcome! This reminds me of the Iron Giant (as well as Matt Dixon's work--as omni pointed out).

Thanks Omni and Trevorm! i often ask fro Matt's opinion, he's a gifted guy and a real helpful bloke too.. wuuuuurd! incidentally we're next to eachother in expose 3!

Thanks for the great critique guys, Crow: the low vantage point is inspired by one of dusso paintings, with a girl in a mech suit!!!

Awesome!! great light, great mech design, and great colors.
One thing I see is that the moon seems to be behind the clouds, but they're not lit right, cause if that's the case, i think there should be rim lighting, you know, the silver linning and such. Also, the sky looks too smooth? compare to the quality of the rest of the painting?

Just some stuff I noticed. Really great job here!

thienbao

thanks, your not wrong. i wanted to keep the clouds smooth and dull to not distract from the foreground features. but you are right. if i had gone with a little more realism i should have included rim lighting etcc

thanks for your critique
