Description
This is a pencil drawing i did a while back that took me forever!! Its an old pik but one of my definate favs. It took me something like 3 months on and off to complete - I didnt draw after this for like 6 months!!!It was based on the concept of a necromancer playing chess with a pet baby dragon in his dungeon. You can tell by the expression on his face that he is losing VERY badly too!!
The scene portrays the young dragons turn...he is playing white and hes got the unfortunate magic user 'against the ropes' as he has made it check-mate in one move.
- I dont think this match will end very pleasently at all!!
....Sorry about the detail, a great deal of it is lost in the scanning
and reduction of the pik (the original is 480x600mm) Be sure to check out some of the close ups so you can get a better idea.

One thing i do notice though, is that the body of the snake is so dang detailed, but then it's not detailed at all towards the head. I know it's a bit of distance between them, but i think there could still be som faint details too.
Anyways, just awesome!!
