Very nice traditional painterly feel to this. I liek it a lot. I like that background too. It has been quiet around here lately I have noticed too.

WOW! nice tecnique! (thumbup)(thumbup)(thumbup) I love that! Very nice brushes on the bg also!

That's very nice, I love the way you've handled the colours and brushstrokes, well done.

Andy: Thanks! I love the painterly stuff. I am mainly an oil painter these days and I am trying to combine what I love about oil into digital.

powernemo: Thanks! I have to admit, the brush I used for the background was created by our very own buzzz3d. =)

Juro: Thanks, Juro! ;)

+9/9. i like your painting style, it doesn't look too "computerish'. Nicely done.

bellas: Yup, just noticed that. The lobe hangs down a bit too far. Little big. Oh, well...I didn't notice it because I like that kind of distortion. Check this: Angel of Sadness by GFXartist sponsor mol and you will see what I mean. Good catch...thank you!

slick: Thanks, man! That was exactly what I wanted to achieve.

Nice painting.

I like the pose and how her attention is off to the right, rather than forwards. The hair is nice too.

She looks a bit sleepy :)

The only ONLY thing I would alter...just a tad...would be the intensity of the background...just to push the subject foward a little more...

but just a tad :p

This is very good, thanks for showing it to me! I'm impressed. The way you use your buzzz3d-brush (:p) gives much life to the painting. Very dynamic. Good choose of colourpalette. Got nothing to crit, exept the bit too strong hairstrokes to the right. Good job!! :)

Thank you very much. Buzzz is a member here...we have been going back and forth for a couple of years now. I don't think he posts much here anymore, but I credit him for a lot of my advancement when it comes to digital painting.

The step by step process shows you're a true painter. You didn't just copy over the picture and use the dip tool to exactly replicate the photo.

Excellent work, and now I have to check out your other stuff

oh yeah... +10

You have really come a long way my man...and in such a short time. By far I feel this is your best work to date. Look forward to what you do next. =)

Wonderful! Looks like oil painting, and I'm sure u meant to do it! But I don't like the BG much. I mean, it doesn't look like it's behind her, but on the same level. Did u get my point? Damn, I can't pu my finger on da rite word... Anyway, it's really cool!

This is great, love the overall painterly feel. Excellent use of skin tones, well done (thumbup). The only thing that does`nt gel with me is the background, the skattered pattern effect takes away from the smoothness of the subject- thats me being piky tho. Still auesome+8/8

Nice, I like the colours and expression- really does give a sense of reflection- especially the eyes.

Beautiful. I like the roughness of the brush strokes something that often lacks in digital work, but this is really great! Lovely use of colours.

Thanks, but you're giving me too much credit here Van.
Your tremendous dedication has gotten you this far and will take you a lot further still.
I've said it before and I will say it again: You have a way with faces.

I'll try to start posting here again, when I have something a little more finished and worth showing.

Cheers!
