Took this shots as a strange phenomenon burst over the southern california night sky on September 22nd 2005.

Yah apparently a test missle was fired from a near by air force base (Edwards Air Force base, the one that seems to appear in many movies like ID4)

the sky can be weird some times. I have a couple of pictures of what I think might be the same phenomen as this, but this one blows me away!
