Description

This photo is some two months old. It was taken in Khyber Agency (to the west of Peshawar). It's a lovely place, home to hospitable people (totally unlike the rumours going around about them).

Technical Details (actually, only the stuff I understand :) )

Exposure Time: 1/40s
Aperture Value: 2.8
Focal Length: 5.8mm (equiv)

My focus in this picture was on the perspective (like always) and on the details of the texture of the rope and the steel rods/pipes. The horizontal one looks almost like wood!

And here's my new footnote for all the new artworks I add:

Please don't tell me how good I am (or how lovely this piece or artwork is). Tell me what I haven't done! Tell me why this isn't the best in the world. There are quite a lot of things :)

You've transformed something rather common into something expressive and artistic. I especially like the combination of the brownish/redish colours against the greens in the background. I agree with zanzibar that it's a little overexposed, but it adds a nice contrast imo. I am glad you don't get fooled by rumours:)

The only issue in this is the small over expsure (which is just a minor point) you did well with composition keeping the line from the upper left corner to the lower right. And nice framing too. I'm sorry I really tried to find points of improvment but for me the only thing would be the over exposure

Nice composition!
Agree on the overexposure but that is very minor... :)

An angle from a slightly higher position would give the photo a perspective look over the rest part of the hand-rail. I like the focus very much and the mody colours. +7/10

yeah one cannot tell what is wrong with it but certainly not have the extra punch when compared to photographs of mature artist. the problem is that experience bring the wisdom i guess...this picture i think have the placement problem......the placement problem.....technically i think the picture is taken fine.........everthing seem to be very close and the veiwpoint is quite limited........
