It'd be awesome if it weren't for the fact that the file is so huge!

Probably one of the best three anatomy/figure drawing books I've ever had the pleasure of studying (and that numbers in the hundreds).
Thank you very much.

Great book, but how do you download the pdf? The link only shows the dreaded 404 error message. Can anyone post where or how to get it?

That happens sometimes (the 404 problem), but it's not permanent. Try again later, and it will probably work.

Really great book, btw.

Fantastic. I think they're SELLING this book at Amazon or someplace.

By the way, for those having trouble with this location and file format, the book is available page by page in JPG format from www.fineart.sk. All is visible as thumbnails first. Right click and save to disk. There are more loomis books at this site, too. :)

Many apologies, but I had to remove the actual PDF file from my web site.
But, you can find the book (plus many others) at: http://www.saveloomis.org/
Most of Loomis’ books are located at this site—all in PDF, HTML, and JPEG formats.
Enjoy!

Andrew Loomis Books have been the bench mark referance books since I can remember. I discovered them in the eighties and when I was doing illustration in the early ninties my art director brought one of them out to show me after a conversation we had about drawing. I have a copy of "Figure Drawing for what it is worth" but it is a photocopied version of it...for what it is worth. Great Book, Get it, Read it, Study it, then do something with what you learn...

Help!! When you click on the link, it directs you to click on another link which is www.saveloomis.org, and when you click on that it does nothing. Is there some other place I should look?

Does anyone have the PDF file to this? None of the suggested sites work anymore and the file here only has the link to an invalid website...

The link is broken.

The moderator should remove this article from the list.

Hi,

You can find the pdf of Loomis' seminal back to basics book on a Russian site, in 5 parts. It requires some patience, but it works:
