Artwork Category Definitions / Submission Guidelines Revised

Artwork Category Definitions

After gathering extensive input GFX is proud to say the Artwork Category Definitions have been updated to reflect current technological trends, Moderator's experiences, and concerns of the members.

After creating threads for specific categories and letting them run for a week. Members eager to lend a hand in shaping this community to be the best it can be, flooded the forums with a wide gamut of how they felt the categories should be defined. Though amongst the diversity, there were several common points made. Those points, with the addition to Moderator input help craft these definitions to minimize debate within the members, and confusiojn to those just joining the GFX family.

And yes...that means GFXartist now has a definitive (official) statement on where Photograph Enhancement ends and Manipulation begins :)

Submission Guidelines Updated

Now as you view the submission guidelines, you will notice that we've added a visual element. Images depicting the guidelines in action will help illustrate their meaning, and give quick reference to those without the patience to read it all ;)

---------------------------

With these updates, members can now focus more on artwork creation, and moderators will have more clarity when enforcing the policies of the community.

Thanks again to all those who participated, this could not have been done without you. My hopes of making this a community shaped by it's members was met with unbridled success.(B)

I believe including a submissions-per-month counter somewhere in the Submission window would be a nice touch.
