sweeet, i just got mine today. You forgot to mention the BIG new thing is that its fully OSX native!! Wonderfull, See you in hell Classic! Way faster now, and everything is just great. but, the resize handles go off the canvas for me.. they didnt do that in 5.5

Don't let the system req scare you. a P2 runs PS7.0 fine. :) *cough*
But it is faster than 5.5. Just that the painting tools just got a little bit more fun to play with now that you can resize the brushes, even the custom ones. i think if you have 5.5, you don't have to really upgrade to 7.0 right away. Unless you really want the extended path tools that allow you to do shapes and adjust them or Take your brush that you're using and tweak it with textures, noise, jitter, etc. If you check out the video on their site for it, it's pretty interesting to watch. Anyways, I'm gonna go paint something so I can start my porfolio here. lol

I already have 6.0 T_T but the Painting features seems to be very interesting though. Arghhhhhhhh, I only got a Cely466... better upgrade that before even thinking of buying 7.0

Audio-comments were also possible in Photoshop 6.

A thing that is new and usefull is the option 'sharp' as anti-aliasing feature for text. It's a new one between the already known 'none' and 'sharp'. Works much better with smaller txt without rendering it to 1 big mess.

I purchased mine last weekend and I upgraded from 5.5. It's been the best 140 I spent so far, I LOVE IT. I use 6.0 at work and even if I would have had 6.0 at home, I would have been happy with the money spent on the upgrade because it doesn't seem like a lot of things changed from 6.0, but after using it, you realize just how valuable the things they added actually are. The browser, brush improvements and healing tool alone are worth the upgrade, but the advanced web optimizations are nice and the little interface feature changes make life easier. I'd rate this upgrade along the same lines as speeding up an internet connection, you notice the little things when you first get it, but until you go back to the old version after using the new one, you really don't realize just how much better the new one really is.

having just upgraded form 5.5, 7 is definatly a breath of fresh air.. nice layout, simple tools and powerful image manipulation make this my favourite graphic software.
