New Server Online, Thank you!

As most of you know, the main gfxartist server had a hard time processing all the requests lately. Our efforts to collect enough subscriptions to pay for another server came out great. 80 of you saw the benefit of uploading their artwork for only 2 bucks a month and with that they made sure that GFXartist is able to continue. On behalf of the entire community: Thank you!!

The newly placed webserver went online last week, at which we started the configuration process. Many thanks go out to those who financially contributed and we hope you will be able to continue with your subscription so that we can continue giving you the best digital art experience there is.

GFXartist continues to grow.. and at some point the 2 main servers will again have a hard time processing your requests. For now we're out of the red zone, but for those that enjoy GFXartist and want to help out please subscribe and make sure you can visit GFXartist in the future.

My warm regards go out to Colby (also known as wirewolf) who recently joined the admin team as a server administrator. He has worked very hard the past week to optimize the performance of the servers.

Currently you are already browsing the new server, and as some of you have noticed already the site's speed has increased amazingly. Our new server Lilo will be in command of processing your page request. Sully, the first server is now entitled to the name "database and image server" and will be processing all the database and image requests.
