Welcome to the new server!Recently GFXartist made a server switch, our old plan where we had 2 servers serving up the site came back to haunt us when there was too much traffic between the servers. When you requested a page on GFXartist sully would do a request to Lilo asking the database whats on the page, Lilo would then sent back that information and sully compiled the entire page to deliver to you. Unfortunately that doubled our total bandwidth usage, although the servers were right next to eachother we had to pay for that internal traffic..... so that plan miserably failed. We had to think of something else to be able to serve the evergrowing number of page requests.... So now we're here to present to you the Incredible Milo. Milo is our latest and only server (although its twice the cost). Milo is a Dual Xeon 2.0 Ghz Hyperthreading server, 1GB Ram and packed with two 73 GB 10,000 RPM SCSI Drives. We hope that Milo will be more than enough for now and the (near) future. So happy GFX surfing. Colby and I will still be working on the server to optimize performance, so you might run into some errors now and then the upcoming week. For now, signing off. Related news:05/15/2007 @630
