Gamasutra Artist ProfileGamasutra is currently profiling artist Phelan Sykes, the art director for Rapid Eye Entertainment. Phelan's favourite game art? The current favorites are Final Fantasy X for the outrageously imaginative visuals guiding the rich character/story development, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the successful marriage of gorgeous and realistic level areas with cutting-edge technology (environmental reflection mapping and real-time fluid dynamics to name a few,) and ICO for in-game lighting and cinematic effects.
