Yep, .. i also dont understand all didnt vote for francis .. imho the most "elite" one of all of these.
So the both on top didnt convince me with their 4 artworks each.

I feel they are both extremely worthy of your title, sorry to go against your al mighty opinion duracel, but I think they deserve it and congrats to the both of them. It was a tough compitition, but I think the elites were well chosen .

I don't recall Duracel saying his opinion was almighty, he just expressed it (with an "imho," no less). My opinion is that the new elites are deserving, and it doesn't take anything away from their accomplishment to say that francis is also deserving and should have been elite long ago. imho.

Congrats to all who were nominated and to Noah-KH and Pejot for making elite!! For those who say that the elites weren't deserving, obviously the community of votes thinks they were otherwise they wouldn't have been voted as Elite.

Unless there is some sort of "standard" and baseline for voting for elites, there will always be difference of opinions since we are voting on such a subjective subject and one that weighs so heavily on personal opinion.

Just making it into the top 10 is an accomplishment inandof itself and regardless of who makes it to Elite, all are deserving.

So few votes involved -- what's up with that? You can really see how every single vote matters quite a bit.

Hey, no one said they didn't deserve it, just disagreed with it. I didn't vote for either of the two chosen ones either. I try to avoid the hyped up new people when I vote. I think I voted for Stalio and Francis... *shrugs* can't remember.

Yeah, of course its only my personal view.

If i thought about voting, i didnt really have to ... ... first of all i think noone is an elite! Than i watch every single nominated and more than twice checked out more than only their best voted pictures, and in the end, only two convinced me they deserve this status without a doubt.

An well, you can see, there is no absolut clear vote this time ... we had some nominations, where the first one had more than double as many votes as the third.

So either there is no clear elite, so imho noone should get this status, or many deserve this so called title, but what do you call "elite".
So this is also a question about how many people should be an elite-member.

Duracel keep in mind that this is a people's vote. Those with the most votes deserve the elite status, that's the whole point of the elite votes. There's democracy for you. The nominations have nothing do to with wether the artist is good enough or better than the rest, it's about popularity. People vote and the artists with the most votes deserve the elite status.

As for the little amount of votes involved. Even though we have 17k members, only a small percentage is actually active at a given time.

Sometimes I wish I could give both of my votes to one person. Ah well. Congrats everybody.

Yes, it's definitely a popularity contest which depends highly on what users are active during the week-long window. Sometimes there's an overabundace of anime lovers active, sometimes farie people, or beautiful girl people. It's all very subjective. I tend to shy away from voting for anime/farie/pretty fantasy girl pieces and look more at the style of the artist. If I like they're style, and think it's unique or different, I'll vote for them. If they don't have a style (i.e. their style looks exactly like everyone elses) I don't vote for them. If everyone nominated happens to fall into one of those catagories I won't vote at all. Not really too much else you can do, is there? Unfortunately, It's been a pretty long time since someone I voted for made it.

I like nivius! She's got awesome style, espically the way she has glow to all her pictures. But we can't all be elite, beside's once your elite you become kinda secluded from the group... Sound's kinda lonly to me
