Portrait Tutorials by Ron Lemen

Another couple more extensive tutorials courtesy of Ron Lemen, this time focusing on portraiture (from a photo reference). Information on the tutorials and the problems that need to be solved are below

Head Tutorial 1: African Male 3/4 View

Blocking in a decent likeness
Locating the back of when slightly obscured
Capturing the correct tones for sake of ethnicity
Correct contrast in tones
Solid Masculine features
Keeping the symmetry in a 3/4 view

Head Tutorial 2: White Male Side View

Blocking in a decent likeness
Blocking in the profile
Correct, slight contrast in tones
Not overaging the model by overstating the shapes
Softening the tones to stay accurate with the lighting
