Running Away - A school projectWhile taking a peek for some cool news over at InsideCG I noticed they posted a link towards a pretty damn nice short CG movie called "Running Away". It was completely made in 10 months by a French guy for a school project. To create the movie he used tools like 3dsmax and Maya 5 (rigging, modelling, texturing and rendering), Combustion 2 (compositing, visual fx), Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator (texturing), Adobe Premiere (video editing) and Sony Sound Forge (sound editing). The hardware used for this project consists out of a single box powered by a Pentium 4 CPU with 3 Ghz of processing power, 2 Gigs of RAM and a Geforce FX 5900 videocard for the graphics. Here is a little synopsis taken from the website "David and Flavie are in love. Unfortunately they are from two different families. While David is on his way to find his soulmate, his own father will take care that they won't meet." Here are some shots from the movie to wet your appetite a bit:
If you are done gazing at them then you can download the whole movie in different resolutions from this page on the official website. |
