The Position:

Concept Artist

Petroglyph is looking for an exceptionally skilled Concept Artist to work on our next original RTS title. The ideal candidate will have experience in concept drawing and illustrating a diverse visual range of characters, creatures, weapons, architecture and environments. An exceptional understanding of form, structure, color, and light and a creative imagination is essential. The Concept Artist should have a basic understanding of game art creation (low poly modeling and texturing) and be well-versed in related tools.
Requirements:
• Must have at least 3 year industry experience; preferably with 1 shipped title.
• Experience with Photoshop, Painter, and/or 3DStudio Max.
• The ability to carry an idea from the conceptual phase to the finished illustration and an understanding of translating these ideas to real-time game environments.
• Self-driven, good communicator and a great team-player.
• A passion for making great games.
• Skill in one or more of the related creation tasks - modeling, texturing, animation
• Strong foundation in the traditional arts, including but not limited to figure drawing, landscape painting, and illustration.

Even though I am the worlds greatest artist, I have not had 3 years experience in the 'industry'. One day I will get me one of those 3 year industry thingys.
